The Cornish Mineral Tramways provide a perfect way to explore the history of the area. There are over 52km of sign-posted walk and cycle ways linking Portreath on the north coast, Scorrier, Redruth and all the way to Devoran on the South coast. In fact the Portreath Tramroad trail (the Coast-to-Coast) is within a few yards of the site.
