COVID-19

Last updated 23rd Feb 2021

Following yesterday’s government announcement regarding the phased easing of lockdown, we are looking forward to welcoming customers back and have explained below what will be available during each phase, based on the latest government guidelines. All dates are subject to change by the government and are indicative only at this stage.

  • Overnight stays away from home in this country will be permitted in self-contained accommodation for one household

  • Two households can meet outdoors

  • COVID-Secure guidance for safe opening will remain in place

What this means: this is a partial opening only for those customers in caravans and motorhomes who are self contained (sorry no tent bookings). Single household holidays only.

  • Our facilities block (shower, toilets, washing up area and laundry) are closed. You will need to have your own on board toilet, shower and washing up facilities to stay here.

  • The chemical disposal point and outdoor water taps are available for use.

  • We can accept bookings for one household per pitch/static caravan.

  • Strict maximum of two households booked as a group and meet outdoors only.

  • The campsite shop will be open (limited low season hours).

  • The swimming pool is closed as usual (only open in high season)

  • Overnight stays away from home in this country will be permitted in all accommodation

  • Shared facilities can be opened

  • COVID-Secure guidance for safe opening will remain in place

  • Most of the legal restrictions on meeting others outdoors will be lifted, although there will still be restrictions on meeting indoors (currently two households or rule of 6).

  • Social distancing rules are due to be reviewed

What this means: this is a a full opening of all our facilities for campers, although at this stage it is unknown what the social distancing restrictions and need for wearing masks will be when using any indoor facilities.

It is also unknown whether people from different households can stay together in the same tent or caravan  - this will depend on the social distancing rules you have to follow when meeting indoors.

Shop & Reception: open daily with the updated social distancing in place.

Shower block and toilets: open for use with social distancing inside. Masks may be required still indoors and it is recommended that hands are sanitised before entering. Closed for enhanced cleaning as per government regulations between12 - 2pm. Toilets are available at the top of the park during this time.

Washing up area and laundry: open for use with social distancing inside. Masks may be required still indoors. Closed for enhanced cleaning as per government regulations between12 - 2pm.

When using the laundry, we recommend that you wipe any touch areas before and after using and ask that clothes are removed promptly. Please fold your clothes back at your pitch and not in the laundry.

Chemical disposal point: One adult only at a time, please use the hand sanitiser provided.

Freezer: available for ice-blocks only - no food or drink allowed. Ice-blocks to be placed in a named bag.

Children's outdoor play area: open for use under parental supervision. Parents should ensure children's hands are sanitised and that social distancing is maintained.

Outdoor heated swimming pool: closed. Pool is open during the high season only.

Day visitors:   Day visitors can visit outdoors and must comply with government social distancing in any onsite indoor setting (e.g. facilities block, caravans and tents). Our day visitor policy will apply. All day visitors must book in at reception and we permit no more than one set of visitors (one set is 4 people max) per booking. All day visitors must leave by 10pm and any visitors staying longer than 4 hours or using the swimming pool will be charged at the applicable daily rate for an extra adult or child. There is a £2.50 charge for parking in the carpark.

Group bookings - as per our usual terms and conditions we only accept a maximum of 2 bookings as a group unless by prior arrangement. Please contact us before booking. Any group bookings received online that exceed this limit will unfortunately all be cancelled.

What this means: the same as Step 3 - but there may be some further relaxations in the requirements for indoor mixing, social distancing, hand washing and mask wearing.  To be updated after the full review of these requirements is published.

Outdoor heated swimming pool: Pool is open from 17th July - 4th September. An online booking system will again be in place for family groups to use for 45 minute timeslots, one slot per group per day.

Day visitors: Our day visitor policy will apply. All day visitors must book in at reception and we permit no more than one set of visitors (one set is 4 people max) per booking. All day visitors must leave by 10pm and any visitors staying longer than 4 hours or using the swimming pool will be charged at the applicable daily rate for an extra adult or child. Coronavirus Booking Promise

Any new bookings (made directly with us) and any bookings transferred from last year that are unable to go ahead due to the national and local lockdowns, will be either fully refunded or kept in credit for another time - the choice is yours. Deposits made to third party sites can not be refunded, but will be transferred to another booking in 2021.

As always, we recommend that guests purchase holiday insurance to cover illness (including Covid-19), needing to self isolate due to Track and Trace or any other circumstance that would affect your stay. There are a number of companies now offering Covid-19 related cover at reasonable prices for UK travel (e.g. Post Office Covid-19 Travel Cover/Trailfinders Travel Insurance).

Our usual terms and conditions apply, and these can be found by clicking on the link at the bottom of the page.
