Last updated 12th of July 2021
From the 19th of July and Step 4 there will be no legal requirement to wear face coverings indoors, socially distance, or scan the test and trace QR code. However, face coverings are encouraged in higher risk areas - areas where you are indoors for longer periods of time with people you don't normally mix with.
A number of the regulations that place COVID-secure requirements on businesses understandably remain and for your safety and comfort we will be continuing with the following:
Our cleaning and ventilation protocols. This means the facilities block (shower, toilets and wash up area) will continue to be closed between 12 and 1.30pm for professional deep cleaning and when possible windows and doors will be kept open to increase ventilation. Hand sanitiser will continue to be available at the entry points.
We encourage you to wear a face covering in our shop/reception. The screens over the counter will still be in place, with doors and windows open and because it is a small area we ask that you wait in the foyer if there is someone at the reception counter.
You will no longer be required to wear a face covering in the shower block, but we ask that you don't queue inside and use alternate sinks where possible.
You are encouraged to wear a face covering in the indoor wash up and laundry area. As you are often in there for longer periods of time and it is a smaller indoor space we encourage you to wear a face covering when others are present, to use alternate sinks and preferably send one person only to do the washing up. Please consider using the outside sinks when possible.
The campers freezer (in the wash up area) remains for ice-blocks only - no food or drink allowed. Ice-blocks to be placed in a named bag.
To keep numbers on the park manageable we ask that you aim to meet people off the campsite during the school holidays and bank holidays. At quieter times if you do have a day visitor the following policy applies:
All day visitors must book in at reception each and every day they are here. The Test & Trace QR code is displayed at reception.
There is a charge of £2.50 per person. We allow one visitor car only and it must be parked in the car-park and not on your pitch; do not use your barrier card to give other vehicles access to the campsite. Please be aware, we may refuse entry if our car-park is full.
We permit no more than one set of visitors (4 people max) per booking.
Day visitors cannot use the pool.
All day visitors must leave by 10pm.
Group bookings - as per our usual terms and conditions we only accept a maximum of 2 bookings as a group unless by prior arrangement. Please contact us before booking. Any group bookings received online that exceed this limit will unfortunately all be cancelled. We do not accept any groups of single people - families and couples only.
Outdoor heated swimming pool: open in high season – from July the 17th until the end of August. This will remain as bookable for individual sessions. Each pitch/static caravan is able to book one 45 minute session each day (depending on availability). If you are travelling with another household/family members on separate pitches we encourage you to book a session together as an extended group to help free up slots for others. To keep the pool use as fair and open as possible each booking can have a maximum of one session per day only - which means you can not enter the pool or stay on in the pool during a session for another pitch.
Booking is made online and details of this will be provided at in your pre-arrival email. If you don’t have access to online booking via your own data, you can book a slot at reception. You will be able to book two days in advance. Please don't make a booking early in the afternoon on your arrival day in case you don't make it in time for your session. You are unable to use the pool after you check-out (11am on your departure day).
There will not be any pool furniture so please bring towels and chairs with you. There is a clock on the wall to help with time keeping.
All of our usual pool guidelines apply and under 16s must be accompanied by a parent/grandparent and not just an older sibling.
Coronavirus Booking Promise
Any new bookings (made directly with us) and any bookings transferred from last year that are unable to go ahead due to a national or local lockdown, will be either fully refunded or kept in credit for another time - the choice is yours. Deposits made to third party sites can not be refunded, but will be transferred to another booking in 2021.
As always, we recommend that guests purchase holiday insurance to cover illness (including Covid-19), needing to self isolate due to Test and Trace or any other circumstance that would affect your stay. There are a number of companies now offering Covid-19 related cover at reasonable prices for UK travel (e.g. Post Office Covid-19 Travel Cover/Trailfinders Travel Insurance).
