We are understandably unable to take bookings from customers living in those areas under local lockdown. We are also unable to take bookings that use our shared indoor facilities (e.g. tent, trailer tent & camper van) from customers living in the Greater Manchester, East Lancashire and West Yorkshire areas who are subject to increased restrictions. We hope to welcome customers from these areas back soon.
Changes in VAT for holiday accommodation
Please note: you haven't been charged VAT (as a small park we are not registered for VAT), so your final balance price will not be affected by this initiative.
The Swimming Pool now open! (updated 18th July)
It has been great to have the pool open and see everyone enjoying themselves in the gorgeous weather here. So far the booking system is working well and everyone is managing to get a session and getting in and out within the hour. Details are below:
The pool will be available for use by an individual family (1 pitch) or by a two family group (2 pitches when camping together) for
pre-booked 1 hour timeslots throughout the day. Grandparents can join into either group.
We ask that you book only one session per day and consider booking as two pitches (two family groups) where possible.
We may reduce to 45 minute time-slots during times of high demand (this will be shown on booking).

Alternatively if you consistently don’t have a good phone signal and Wifi is slow, please ask at the shop (9-10am daily). Sessions can be booked 2 days in advance.
PLEASE DO NOT PRE-BOOK FOR THE DAY YOU ARRIVE - I know your children may be keen to jump in the pool but traffic can be so variable in the summer, and pre-booking the pool for your arrival day means sessions may be booked and not used.
You will receive a confirmation email once the booking is accepted. If you haven’t got a confirmation email the session hasn’t been booked. Please come to the shop 9am-10am with any problems
Multiple bookings on the same day for the same name/pitch and pre-bookings for those not on the park will be declined. You will receive a cancellation email.
Only those booked into the session can be in the pool at the time allocated. Entry to the pool area without a reservation or while another family is using it is not permitted. We ask guests to be considerate and not overstay their reservation time or to abuse the reservation system which has been put in place for their own safety.
All children under 16 years must be accompanied by a parent/grandparent.
All furniture has been removed from the pool area to avoid any contamination risk
The Campsite Shop
Although access to our small shop will be restricted and our range is smaller this year we will be offering a pop-up shop at 9am to 10am each morning for any essentials like milk, bacon, tea and coffee plus fresh bread and croissants (pre-order and pay for these at the shop the day before).
To avoid overloading local supermarkets it is recommended that you stock up as far as possible before arrival. If you need more shopping whilst you are here your information pack will also contain a list of local shops.
We are also just a 2 min drive from our local farm shop Etherington's. They are happy to take orders over the phone for collection or they are open for browsing (limited numbers allowed in at one time). Check them out beforehand at:
We generally ask customers not to book supermarket food deliveries as we are a small site and don't have room for delivery vans to be turning around or parking by reception. Delivery vans should not drive onto the site, and as customers would need to wait near reception for the duration of the delivery slot and unload the shopping there, most guests don’t use these.
Although a delivery would seem better than visiting local supermarkets (and the dreaded queue) but please bear in mind that delivery slots will be unreliable - they are currently quite hard to book at all and in the main supermarkets have been protecting that service for the local vulnerable community.
Takeaway food deliveries
We would be grateful if guests aim to collect any take-away food rather than have it delivered to the site. If you do have it delivered, you will need to meet the driver in the car-park by reception, as we can't take in any food on your behalf.
