Set away from the main campsite, next to the shop and reception, we have a small outdoor children's swimming pool that is in an enclosed garden.
This is now open with online booking for 45 minute slots. Please see the COVID-19 page for full information
Please note: there is no lifeguard so all children under 16 years must be supervised by an adult when either in or around the pool and comply with the pool rules. The pool is 11m x 4m and a maximum of 1.8m deep.
Centrally located By the Big Tree our newly renovated shower block has separate facilities for gents and ladies. We have two larger family shower rooms available for those with young children and customers with mobility restrictions requiring extra space.
Showers are hot and free, and there is also a free hairdryer in the ladies. There is privacy washbasin cubicle in both ladies and gents.
During the 2020 season the shower block will be closed between 12 and 2pm each day for enhanced covid-secure cleaning. Please plan around this.
DOG & WET-SUIT WASH
For those muddy & sandy paws we now have a dedicated dog wash area behind the shower block, alongside an area for washing and hanging wet-suits
WASHING UP & LAUNDRY
Our brand new washing up area is next to the shower block and also has a coin operated washing machine and tumble dryer, and a freezer for ice blocks.
Unfortunately the laundry will remain closed for 2020. There is an open commercial launderette a 10 min drive away.
To help with social distancing our shop will change slightly - we will now have a daily pop-up shop just by reception with outdoor queuing (and some seats!) opening between 9am and 10am. This year our range is limited but we do have basic groceries available (eggs, bacon, cheese, milk, butter) to make sure you can have that traditional campsite breakfast without the supermarket queues. Payment will be by contact-less card.
There is a bakery open 7 days a week just a short stroll from the park, and an award winning farm shop just a 2 minute drive away.
Your information pack will contain all the lowdown on the local smaller shops, plus if you can brave the supermarkets, how to get to these.
Next to the shower block you will find a flush chemical toilet disposal point with running water. We don't have a grey water disposal point at present.
Ask at reception if you require any assistance with maintenance or space to carry out repairs.
Slides, climbing and laughter can all be found in the children's play area. Set in the bottom field away from cars,it is open for use by children under 12 years. Whilst using children must be supervised by parents to ensure social distancing and appropriate hand hygiene is maintained. There is also still lots of laughter to be had, daisy chains to make and space to run about!
Sadly the games room will remain closed for 2020.
As the Park is within a Cornish Valley, phone, 3G, 4G, Sky and digital radio and television signals are not always available and at times you will not have any signal. There is very little we can do to change this without passing on huge charges to customers so we actively encourage people to disconnect whilst here, and of course remember to download any books or movies before you arrive! You may have a better data signal near the reception area at the top of the park, but in an emergency please do ask at reception for help.
