Frequently asked questions

What time can I check in?


Check in for pitches is between 2pm and 7pm in July and August and from 12 noon at all other times. Check in for static caravans is between 3pm and 7pm. Please be aware that in the busy summer season reception is closed between 12 and 2pm as we are out on the campsite preparing your pitches. As we only have small car-park this can get busy on changeover days so please aim to arrive after your check-in time and not before, especially if you have a large unit. You can book your pitch the night before you arrive, so that you can arrive at 9am when reception opens




What is the latest time I can arrive?


Please aim to arrive ideally before 6pm, latest check-in is 7pm.

If you have been held up in traffic and unable to get here before 7pm, please let us know by telephone or email so that we can make special arrangements for you.




What time is check out?


Check out for pitches is by 11am. Check out for statics is by 10am. Please help us to get pitches and caravans ready for the next customer by sticking to this time. Please also be aware that you are unable to use the swimming pool after check-out.




What is the barrier card for?


Entry to the park for cars is by barrier entry only for which you will need a barrier card. The card is for your use only and must not be used to give access to other cars. Each pitch is provided with one barrier card. The deposit for the barrier card is automatically added to your booking and payment collected with your final balance before arriving. On check-out please return your card using the collection box at reception and we will refund the deposit (providing the card is in good working order) back to your original payment method.




Do you allow BBQs and camp fires?


We allow coal or gas BBQs providing they are raised off the ground and placed on a paving slab, which can be found next to your electricty point. Any wood used on BBQs must be contained and used in small BBQs only. Please do not put hot coals on the grass and dispose of any ashes in the bin - ensuring they are completely cold first!
We are sorry but we do NOT allow open campfires, fire baskets or fire pits. We have strict fire regulations to adhere to for the safety of all and unfortunately will have to ask that you to put out any campfires that do not comply. If unsure please contact us for clarification.




What electric hook ups do you have?


All of our pitches have electric hook up and this is included in the pitch price. We have a mixture of 16, 10 and 8 amp electric hook up. If bringing an electric kettle please ensure that it is a caravan kettle under 2 kW, or one for a gas stove and not an electric house kettle, to avoid unwanted fuse tripping.




Do you offer recycling?


Yes! There are no bins in the main park area and we ask that all refuse and recycling are placed in the large bins that are towards the reception area. This helps to keep any bin smells and noise from glass recycling away from your pitches and stops your sleep being disturbed by the refuse collectors. Guests therefore find it helpful to bring black bin bags and also a sturdy bag for carrying bottles to the bin.




Do you have a dog walking area?


Dogs are very welcome guests and we have some great dog walks nearby. You can step directly onto the coast to coast path for your walk, or for those well behaved dogs with great recall we have an open grass area by reception that can be used for some off lead play.

When on the camspite dogs must be kept on a lead at all times and exercised off the park in order to keep the grass clean for children to play on. Please use the main bins to dispose of your doggy poop bags.




Do you accept groups?


We know that camping is great for holidaying with family and friends but as a small and quiet family orientated park we limit this to a maximum of 2 bookings as a group, unless by prior arrangement with us. Please contact us to discuss this. Two bookings includes either two pitches, two statics or a pitch and a static. Any bookings received that exceed the 2 booking limit without prior agreement will unfortunately result in all bookings in the group being cancelled.




Do you allow day visitors?


To keep numbers on the park manageable we ask that you aim to meet people off the campsite during the school holidays and bank holidays. At quieter times if you do have a day visitor the following policy applies: All day visitors must book in at reception each and every day they are here. The Test & Trace QR code is displayed at reception. There is a charge of £2.50 per person. We allow one visitor car only and it must be parked in the car-park and not on your pitch; do not use your barrier card to give other vehicles access to the campsite. Please be aware, we may refuse entry if our car-park is full. We permit no more than one set of visitors (4 people max) per booking. Day visitors cannot use the pool. All day visitors must leave by 10pm.




Do you have any seasonal pitches?


We don't have any seasonal pitches. We do offer store and stay for regular customers; we are currently full but please do contact us if you want to be added to the waiting list




Do you offer longer term lets?


The campsite is for holiday makers only, we do not have long term lets for workers. Commercial and signwritten vans are not permitted.




Can I put up a gazebo or a pup tent on my pitch?


The items that can be pitched and the amount of space required between units where people are sleeping are governed by Cornwall Council and their fire regulations. To comply with these regulations we have a rule of one unit and one car per pitch. A unit includes an awning. Please check with us if you want to use a pup tent for a child on your pitch. A pup tent is a small crawl in tent which sleeps one child. The child must be part of the same houshold and be under 16 years. If you have an extra large pitch or have booked two standard pitches together you may also have room for a gazebo, depending on the size of your tents/awnings/caravans and cars. All guy ropes must fit onto your pitch and not enroach onto the adjoining pitches or block vehicular access to other pitches. Please note: in windy conditions we may request that you take these down as they can take-off and be dangerous, potentially causing damage to cars and caravans.




What time is the shop open?


In July and August the shop is open 9am to 12 noon and 2pm to 6pm. Times of opening vary in other seasons - please see the noticeboard.




Can I bring an extra car?


Customers can book in an extra car but to keep traffic around the site to a managed level, once you have unpacked and set up the car must be parked in the car-park by reception for the duration of your stay. We allow one unit and one car per pitch. If you have a motorhome that you intend to leave onsite and are towing a small car this can be parked on your pitch if you have booked a large or extra large pitch and have room for it. The extra car cannot be a campervan/motorhome that people will be sleeping in - you will need another pitch booking for this.




When is the pool open? How do I book into it?


The pool is open May half term (27th May - 5th June) and high season (15th July - 4th Sept) only. You will be sent an email 3 days before you arrive with a link to book into the pool. Customers can only book slots 2 days in advance so all customers have the same opportunity to book in regardless of whether you are on site or at home. Bookable slots are typically 45 minutes and you can go in with all those that you are travelling with. You are limited to one slot per group per day. You can't enter during another group's slot. We will also be trialling an open session in May half term for a set time e.g. 4pm to 8pm where there will be no booking required but a limit of 14 in the pool at ant one time.
