Using the Outdoor Pool

The outdoor pool is open during May half term (27th May to 5th June) and in the summer high season (15th July to 4th of September).

There are some important safety conditions for using the pool explained below - by using the pool you are accepting these conditions, so please read carefully.

  • At no time is there a lifeguard on duty, therefore you (the user) are using the pool at your own risk and are responsible for your own safety and the safety and supervision of children under 18 years of age.

  •  By using the pool you (the user) accept all liability for any loss, damage, or personal injury of any kind suffered or incurred to yourself or any person under your supervision connected with the use of the pool.

  • The pool is for campsite customers only, it is not a public pool. Therefore you can only use the pool if you are checked in and staying on the campsite, which also means not before your arrival time and not after the 11am check-out.

  • Day visitors are not permitted to use the pool.

  • An adult parent or carer must be present at all times with any child under 18 years. Children love to run ahead and get to the pool first, but please ensure that they know that they have to wait for you before entering the gated pool area.

  • It is heated but as it is outdoors it can feel chilly unless you are under the water!  Please do bring a wetsuit and suitable footwear for walking across the gravel to the pool.

  • Children under 4 years must wear a swim nappy. If there are any accidents please report them immediately - the quicker that we can treat the pool the quicker we can re-open it.

  • NO diving bombing, jumping on body boards, somersaulting or running. And whatever games are played please try and keep the water in the pool!

  • We close the pool every day for cleaning at 3.30pm - 4pm.

  • We reserve the right to close the pool at short notice due to poor weather or any other aspect that we assess may affect your safety.

How to Book the Pool

You can book the pool for your group's individual use in one of the 45 minute slots available between 10.15 am and 3.30 pm each day by clicking on the Book Pool button below. During private sessions you can bring as many inflatables as you like, and you can also bring your dog to sit on the grass.

  • Please only book one slot per day for your group

  • If you are travelling with friends or have made new friends here, where possible please try and book one session together to release sessions for other groups

  • You can book 2 days in advance

  • If you are unable to use your session please ensure that you cancel or amend your booking, by clicking on amend my booking in the confirmation email

Please ensure that you've received the email confirming the booking - if you haven't had an email then you haven't booked. Please don't enter another person's session - check with us if you are unsure.

Occasionally duplicate bookings happen in error - we will give you a call before we cancel a session.

Finally - there is a clock on the wall! Please ensure that you leave the pool swiftly when your session is over.

The pool closes between 3.30pm - 4pm for cleaning

Open Session 4pm to 8pm

Between 4pm to 8pm the pool is a open session - you can turn up to swim and don't need to book. All of the above safety and liability rules still apply (campsite guests only and children under 18 must still have an adult with them etc), you just don't need to book. You can still come along to this session even if you have had an individual session earlier in the day.

We recommend no more than 14 people in the pool at anyone time. During the open session please don't bring large inflatables or ball games. As some children don't like dogs, we also ask that the open sessions are dog free. If the pool is looking crowded we ask that you come back later. If there is a high demand during this session we may ask customers who have been in the pool the longest to leave to allow others to use the pool.
