Camping, Caravans & Motorhomes

Our site is set in a sheltered valley and surrounded by mature trees. We are small and friendly park, with different areas to choose from and pitches to suit everyone. There are 45 generous grass pitches of various sizes and all have electric hook up.

Please do give us plenty of information when you book, and book early to request a specific area. Although we cannot guarantee a pitch, we will try our best to accommodate your requests wherever possible. Very occasionally we may have to alter pitches which have been previously allocated or chosen. We are unable to offer online pitch selection, as a small park with some quirkier areas we do our best to fit your booking and group into the right pitch for you.

Please note: We are unable to take group bookings for more than 2 households, and government advice is that you should maintain 2m social distance between households. Therefore there should be only one household per pitch.

Helpful things to know

Entry to the park for cars is by barrier entry only for which you will need a barrier card. Each pitch is provided with one barrier card. The deposit for the barrier card is automatically added to you booking and payment collected with your final balance before arriving. At check-in you collect your card and your information pack in the reception foyer, after 2pm on the day of arrival. On check-out you return your card in the collection box at reception and we will refund the deposit (providing the card is in good working order).

Please note that check-in and barrier cards will not be available until after 2pm. Unfortunately we do not have room for early arrivals to park, so would be grateful if you could aim not arrive before 2pm. For those who do like to drive through the night, you can book your pitch from the night before, and have access from 8am - please do let us know if this is required.

Please let us know by telephone or email if you will be late arriving (after 7pm), we know what traffic can be like in the summer at times!

The Bottom field is surrounded by a working farm. It is beautiful place to camp but you will hear all the sounds of the animals, children, dogs and morning rooster. And, as we are in a valley, on a still day you might hear the lamas, peacocks and dogs from the other farms and occasionally some drifting music from a few miles away from the Eco Park or an end of season beach party. Of course, they can hear us too, so for all the neighbours and your fellow campers we ask guests to respect quiet time between 11pm - 7am. We are still in negotiation with the rooster and a few pigeons about this.

There are lights around the park and the shower block but we recommend that you bring a torch or lantern, as pitches in the Bottom Field have minimal lighting, leaving you to enjoy the starry skies at night.

We have a mixture of 16, 10 and 8 amp electric hook ups on the site. If bringing an electric kettle please ensure that it is a caravan kettle under 2 kW (and not a house kettle) to avoid unwanted fuse tripping.

There are no bins in the main park area and we ask that all refuse and recycling are placed in the large bins that are towards the reception area. This helps to keep any bin smells and noise from glass recycling away from your pitches and stops your sleep being disturbed by the refuse collectors. Guests therefore find it helpful to bring black bin bags and also a sturdy bag for carrying bottles to the bin.

As a small park we are unable to take bookings for large groups.

Dogs are very welcome. We ask that they are booked in, kept on a lead and exercised off the park in order to keep the grass clean for children to play on. Please use the main bins to dispose of your doggy poop bags.

"The site is in a fantastic location for visiting so many beautiful places. A really friendly site that's great value"

"We have been returning for many years now. It is a lovely site set in a rural location in a valley surrounded by farmland, yet only a short drive to the A30 so ideal for sightseeing"

"Beautiful, secluded pitch.  Central location, competitive pricing. Great play area and decent facilities"

Pitches By the Big Tree are centrally located and well lit at night, with just a short walk to the shower block. Ideal for both caravans and tents, they have lovely views over the valley and surrounding farmland.

The Elderflowers

Surrounded by elderflower and rowan trees these level grass pitches are popular with campervans and motorhomes for easy access on and off the site. In this area we also have pitches that adjoin each other suitable for two families holidaying together. Three of our extra large pitches are here providing great access to the shower block. This is a great area for couples and dog owners as it's closer to the tramway for your early morning walks.

   Bottom Field

Our Bottom Field is a larger, open camping area. Surrounded by farmland and enclosed by mature trees and with a children's playground it is popular in the summer with families. The level pitches are suitable for all tents, tourers and campervans and we have a variety of sizes available, including some extra large pitches suitable for bigger family tents. There are lights around the park and the shower block but we recommend that you bring a torch or lantern, as pitches in the Bottom Field are more rural and have minimal lighting, leaving you to enjoy the starry skies at night.
