Camping, Caravans & Motorhomes
Our site is set in a sheltered valley and surrounded by mature trees. We are small and friendly park, with different areas to choose from and pitches to suit everyone. There are 45 generous grass pitches of various sizes and all have electric hook up.
Please do give us plenty of information when you book, and book early to request a specific area. Although we cannot guarantee a pitch, we will try our best to accommodate your requests wherever possible. Very occasionally we may have to alter pitches which have been previously allocated or chosen.
Following recent government laws on social distancing announced these additional conditions will apply to all bookings:
There continues to be is a maximum of six people per pitch permitted, who must all be from the same household.
We can accept a maximum of two pitches booked together, but there must no more than 6 people in total, across both pitches.
We do not accept group bookings for the static caravans
Those staying in a static caravan must be from the same household.
Please be aware that any online bookings made that do not meet these conditions will unfortunately be cancelled. Full details of these changes are on our COVID page.
To keep the number of people on site manageable we can also no longer allow any day visitors.
Helpful things to know
The Bottom field is surrounded by a working farm. It is a beautiful, scenic place to camp but not completely quiet at all times. You will hear all the sounds of the animals, children, dogs and morning rooster. And, as we are in a valley, on a still day you might hear the lamas, peacocks and dogs from the other farms and occasionally in the high season summer evenings some drifting funky music from a few miles away due to an Eco Park event or an end of season beach party. Of course, they can hear us too, so for all the neighbours and your fellow campers we ask guests to respect quiet time between 11pm - 7am. We are still in negotiation with the rooster and a few pigeons about this.
We allow coal or gas BBQs providing they are raised off the ground and placed on a paving slab. Any wood used on BBQs must be contained and used in small BBQs only - no large open fires, fire baskets or fire pits. Please do not use wood found on the park or damage the grass for the next guests. If unsure please contact us for clarification.
Entry to the park for cars is by barrier entry only for which you will need a barrier card. Each pitch is provided with one barrier card. The deposit for the barrier card is automatically added to you booking and payment collected with your final balance before arriving. At check-in you collect your card and your information pack in the reception foyer, after 2pm on the day of arrival. On check-out you return your card in the collection box at reception and we will refund the deposit (providing the card is in good working order). The card is for your use only.
Please note that check-in and barrier cards will not be available until after 2pm. Unfortunately we do not have room for early arrivals to park, so would be grateful if you could aim not arrive before 2pm. For those who do like to drive through the night, you may be able to book your pitch from the night before, and have access from 8am - please do let us know if this is required.
We ask that you aim to arrive before 7pm, but we know what traffic can be like in the summer, or if you need extra time because you are travelling down after leaving work, so please let us know by telephone or email if you will be late arriving so that we can make special arrangements for you. Unless there has been a disaster, there are no check-ins after 9pm.
Check out is strictly by 11am, especially in high season.
We have a mixture of 16, 10 and 8 amp electric hook ups on the site. If bringing an electric kettle please ensure that it is a caravan kettle under 2 kW (and not a house kettle) to avoid unwanted fuse tripping.
There are no bins in the main park area and we ask that all refuse and recycling are placed in the large bins that are towards the reception area. This helps to keep any bin smells and noise from glass recycling away from your pitches and stops your sleep being disturbed by the refuse collectors. Guests therefore find it helpful to bring black bin bags and also a sturdy bag for carrying bottles to the bin.
As a small park we are unable to take bookings for large groups - we accept couples and immediate family groups of no more than two pitches together only. No single sex or mixed sex groups, and we only accept bookings from persons aged 21 years and over.
Dogs are very welcome. We ask that they are booked in, kept on a lead and exercised off the park in order to keep the grass clean for children to play on. Please use the main bins to dispose of your doggy poop bags.

"We have been returning for many years now. It is a lovely site set in a rural location in a valley surrounded by farmland, yet only a short drive to the A30 so ideal for sightseeing"
"Beautiful, secluded pitch. Central location, competitive pricing. Great base with all of Cornwall on your doorstep"
Pitches By the Big Tree are centrally located and well lit at night, with just a short walk to the shower block. Ideal for both caravans and tents, they have lovely views over the valley and surrounding farmland.
By the Big Tree
Surrounded by elderflower and rowan trees these level grass pitches are popular with campervans and motorhomes for easy access on and off the site. In this area we also have pitches that adjoin each other suitable for two families holidaying together. Three of our extra large pitches are here providing great access to the shower block. This is a great area for couples and dog owners as it's closer to the tramway for your early morning walks.
Our Bottom Field is a larger, open camping area. Surrounded by farmland and enclosed by mature trees and with a children's playground it is popular in the summer with families. The level pitches are suitable for all tents, tourers and campervans and we have a variety of sizes available, including some extra large pitches suitable for bigger family tents. There are lights around the park and the shower block but we recommend that you bring a torch or lantern, as pitches in the Bottom Field are more rural and have minimal lighting, leaving you to enjoy the starry skies at night.
